Clinical cases
Here, a compilation of different clinical cases performed by Joan Gubau Mach by using a direct technique with composite resins. Joan is the author of all this works and photographs.
Why composites?
Because it is conservative with the natural teeth. The direct technique with composite resins is the most conservative treatment to solve esthetically compromised clinical situations. The majority of the cases can be performed without the need of dental preparations (reduction of the natural teeth structure).
The goal
The goal is to emulate nature, creating conservative direct composite resin restorations and veneers that look like natural teeth. This is a difficult task that requires a proper planning, analysis of the situation and a meticulous manual work. The selection of the composite resins to be used, the layering strategy and technique, and the finishing and polishing procedure are critical to obtain restorations that resemble natural teeth.
